Passengers without set dining reservations can make reservations, or walk-in, on the Deck 7 level of Horizons. There are plenty of other spaces for sitting back and enjoying the ship’s spectacular sea views – grab a coffee and watch the early morning sunshine dance on the waves from the Wake View Terrace shouldn’t be missed (and neither is the Terrace’s infinity pool). The closet is deep enough to contain my large-size men's shirts and jackets on hangers without crushing them sideways, something that isn't always the case with built-in closets on newer ships. While the finishings aren't luxurious, Deluxe Balcony Staterooms (the type of cabin that I was in and the most common cabin category on the ship) have an inviting, modern look with the right amount of furnishings and amenities, all in the right places.
There was also a limited amount of space for seating during nighttime shows or lounging during the day (when it serves as a solarium-like lounge and pool space). For shows, it's billed as having a capacity of just 250, about a fourth the amount of the Princess Arena. Princess has long been known for having lots of entertainment running at once in multiple venues. The cruise brand is also offering financial reimbursement for select travel costs for guests who have already arrived ahead of their sailing and for guests who have not yet started their travel certain changes fees related to flights. The ship does need to remain alongside in the shipyard to allow for additional technical work to ensure an outstanding vacation is delivered. Those looking to move (or relax) their bodies might do so in nine whirlpools and five onboard pools, one of which is terraced below the Promenade and overlooking the wake. Another stretches below The Dome’s edge, making it an indoor/outdoor option when the acrobatic stage is not extended. In the living area, a plush bed and sofa await, and — in a setup that should be a standard on all ships — there are a pair of USB charging ports and a U.S. electrical outlet at both nightstands.
